about me
My interest in understanding the complex ecologies of places similar to the borderlands brought out an enthusiasm for the built environment. This was in conjunction with the ways cultures are conversely shaped through their infrastructure. Thinking of architecture as a synthesis of social, economic, and political strata has given me direction onto a more comprehensive understanding of the links between social disparities and architecture. These interests propelled me to investigate a broader aspect of what is typically attributed to architecture’s influence throughout my academic career. By investigating the complex systems that intertwine themselves within architecture, a greater understanding of our built environment can be made. Through this understanding, architecture is able to become a force for social equality, something that is deeply embedded within my personal philosophy. My ambitions to help underrepresented communities through my education and knowledge is further amplified by my interest in data driven methods of design and development. Use of modern technologies that aid in defusing complex problems bred by inadequately built systems have the ability to condense seemingly incomprehensible solutions.
